Spotted gum is a class 1 hardwood set to last over 40 years when used externally. It is an Australian native hardwood that is known for its density and durability properties. The spotted gum we supply is finger jointed, with the joins very spread out closer to 1200mm apart rather that at every 300mm as is usually the case, this provides more of a consistent look across the whole screen. We use finger joined battens to create the longer lengths that are needed for our taller screening. Spotted gum is known for its natural colour variation which a lot of customers love, as it provides more of a rich timber feel. The screens are all screw fixed from behind using galvanised screws, helping to create this premium product that is made to last.
Our batten screens are constructed with 42mm battens running on edge and a spacing of 16-17mm between the battens with suitable supports to prevent the screens from twisting. Creating a modern screening aesthetic that provides a different look when looking at different angles.
