Merbau is one of our most popular choices of premium hardwood screening, which as a class 2 hardwood has a durability of over 25 years for external use. It is commonly known by its reddish-brown complexion. It is recommended to stain over Merbau to seal in the tannins to prevent any resin run off and provide the timber with a richer more vibrant look.
Merbau is commonly used for creating feature walls, outdoor privacy screening sections and blocking off unsightly fences.
Our batten screens are constructed with 42mm battens running on edge and a spacing of 16-17mm between the battens with suitable supports to prevent the screens from twisting. Creating a modern screening aesthetic that provides a different look when looking at different angles.
